Thomas Cook expands as a new connecting partner of easyJet

Thomas Cook Airlines has joined easyJet as a new partner of ‘Worldwide by easyJet’ from London Gatwick Airport.

The innovative technology platform (by Dohop) allows customers to book connections and forward flights from London Gatwick with Thomas Cook Airlines, meaning customers can travel as far as the United States or the Caribbean.

Henry Sunley, Sales UK and Digital Director says: “This is part of our growth strategy for 2018 and is great news for Thomas Cook Airlines. It will enable customers to connect Thomas Cook Airlines flights with Easyjet flights at Gatwick airport, for example a customer could fly from Milan to Gatwick with Easyjet then connect onto a Thomas Cook Airlines flight to Orlando. This partnership, along with other ventures, will help us to grow in the future.”

Christoph Debus, Chief Airlines Officer adds: “Across our Group Airline, we have increased summer 2018 capacity by more than 10 per cent. We have added an aircraft at London Gatwick, increasing capacity at the airport by 12% this summer in order to meet customer demand. We are thrilled that our new partnership with Worldwide by easyJet allows us to offer our customers even more choice and convenience.”

Johan Lundgren, easyJet CEO, commented: “We have been delighted with the appetite of partner airports and airlines to expand Worldwide across our network allowing us to access a greater range of passengers flying across Europe.”

Gatwick connections will be able to purchase via Skyscanner or Easyworldwide via Easyjet.com. Worldwide by easyJet is subject to a 2 hour 30 minute ‘Minimum Connection Time’, which will give customers plenty of time to transfer between flights and/or terminals. Should a passenger miss a connecting flight they will be transferred to the next available flight.
